UCAS

Students in Cockermouth School Sixth Form have access to a range of support to help them in applying for higher education.

Typically 90% of our Sixth Form students make an application to higher education through the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS).

Students work closely with the Sixth Form Pastoral team, who offer information advice and guidance to students prior to and throughout the application process.

In addition all students attend the following events:

• A visit to Carlisle Higher Education Fair
• A visit to a Newcastle University open day
• Presentations in school from:
• The Sixth Form Team
• Newcastle University
• University of Cumbria
• Graham Kelly – Independent Higher Education Consultant
