Cockermouth School has established a highly successful and vibrant Sixth Form, with 70% of our Year 11 students choosing to continue their studies here.  We also attract a good number of external students who join us from other schools every year.

We believe our Sixth Form to be a special place.  We encourage independence and responsibility, yet our Sixth Form students remain very much part of the main school.

Sixth Former students have their own distinct area which includes common rooms, study area, supervised work areas and a Sixth Form canteen.

We achieve excellent examination results, with most students going on to university, including to Oxford and Cambridge.

Although there is no uniform for our Sixth Form students, we do have a Dress Code that we expect them to follow.  This is attached.
